Event Information
The Texarkana Museums System has served the Ark-La-Tex area since 1971, providing quality educational experiences and public programs. Continuing our mission, TMS proudly presents a special workshop focused on teaching the basics of preserving family heirlooms. This workshop concentrates on the unique needs of paper items and photographs, the most common family memorabilia. From newsclippings to scrapbooks, all paper items present a challenge to the family preservationist. Join TMS Curators, Melissa Nesbitt and Jamie Simmons as they demonstrate the techniques and materials used to prolong the life of family history collections.
